Admission Requirements
The following are required by Winnipeg Aviation to process your application for admission.

1. Students must have sufficient funds for all training plus cost of living expenses.
2. Be 18 years of age
3. Have good health (Actual medical examination can be conducted in Canada) Category 1 medical clearance to commercial pilot standards is required from a Transport Canada approved doctor. ($125 - $200) Applicants should be aware that major airlines have vision, height, and weight restrictions, which exceed Transport Canada requirements. Information for the nearest qualified physician can be obtained at http://www.tc.gc.ca/CivilAviation/Cam/menu.htm.  (Select the first link on left hand side.) To ensure applicants do not have any medical restrictions which would disqualify them from any flight training, it is crucial to obtain the certificate before the start date of the program, or shortly thereafter. The cost of this certificate is the responsibility of the applicant.
4. Have graduated from a 10 + 2 high school program
5. Have Mathematics and Physics credits ( Indian DGCA requirement only)
6. Be proficient in English with Toefl scores of 550 (paper), 213 (computer) or 79-80 (internet).  IELTS Band 6.5 is required.
7. It is suggested , but not a requirement that you have completed a familiarization flight in your own country. (The purpose of this experience is to ensure that the potential student is able to cope with the sensations of flying in a small aircraft.)

How to apply:
To apply for entry into any Pilot Training Program you must complete the above application for admission and submit it to Winnipeg Aviation either via e-mail or regular post.

Start your training:
We accept admission into the Pilot Training Program throughout the year, however we recommend starting in March to take advantage of the summer weather to complete the basic training portion of the program.

Payment of fees:
Payment for training is made from moneys held on account with Winnipeg Aviation. Students must maintain a minimum level of $1500.00 CDN in their account. Payment must be made before training can begin. Payment may be made by cash, travelers cheque, major credit cards or a bank cheque made payable to Winnipeg Aviation. Personal cheques must clear the bank prior to being accepted as payment. Cheques take up to 10 business days to clear, therefore to avoid delays in training, payment should be either certified, cashier, or official bank cheque.
